This competition compares expert fantasy football sites preseason projections to actual end of the season numbers.
Site preseason projections are secured by position prior to the beginning of the NFL season. All significant preseason
players who have played a substantial portion of the games will be included.

Players will be excluded from the competition for reasons such as an injury that causes substantial time on the sideline or significant role change (e.g. demotion, trade) not known prior to the beginning of the season. Players who were little known and not on many preseason lists but had surprisingly good numbers are likewise not included. All sites will be evaluated on the same set of players. The aggregate difference in the amount of missed ranked positions will determine how well a site performed. There is no adjustment to the differences, thus the end result is a pure known quantity of missed ranking positions.

Players will be ranked by the actual numbers from the regular season on a per game basis. Thus, if player A compiled 200 points in 10 games (20 points per game) and player B accumulated 250 points in 16 games (15.6 points per game) then player A will rank higher.

The experts projections will rank the players in their predicted order of finish by fantasy points for the season.
The challenge will be divided into separate categories for Overall, QB, RB, WR, TE, and K.

Fantasy points will be tallied for each player as follows:
0.1 point for each yard rushing or receiving
0.04 points for each yard passing
-1 points for an interception
6 points for each TD (of any kind)
3 points for FG of any length
1 point for each PAT

The positive difference between the expert site and the actual outcome will be summed for all players. For example, suppose Expert Site A predicts Peyton Manning to finish 3rd and Tom Brady 1st among quarterbacks. Then the actual place of finish turns out to be 2nd for Manning and 4th for Brady.
Expert Site A, for these two players, the sum would be equal to 4
(3-2=1 for Manning & 1-4=-3 - using only positive values changes Brady's difference from -3 to 3).
If Expert Site B had projected Manning to come in 7th and Brady 11th, then expert site B would total 12
(7-2=5 for Manning & 11-4=7 for Brady). In this case Expert Site A would rank higher for quarterbacks than
Expert Site B.
Expert Site A   4
Expert Site B   12

The final result tables will be shown in percentiles. If a site scores in the 75th percentile then this means that this site did equal or better than 75 percent of all expert sites. The Overall table represents a composite for all positions (1/4 for QB, RB, WR, and 1/8 for TE and K).
